About Us
New England Theatre Service started in a residential garage and is now
located in a 4,500 sq/ft industrial park. The success of the company is due to
our excellent track record and determination to satisfy all our customers’
needs. We have done installs and sales all over the country as well as in Costa
Rica, Japan and U.S. military bases.
President/Founder – Robert Peterson.
Bob founded NETS in 1983 from his garage in Hamden, CT.
In 1988, the business out-grew the garage and was thus relocated to a 1,600
sq/ft industrial park building in Hamden. By 2003, with limited space from a
continuous growth of inventory, NETS moved into a 4,500 sq/ft building in Beacon
Falls, CT where it is located today While doing work with projection and sound
equipment, Robert decided to also get into the draping business, and founded Acoustipleat in 1991.
Some notable customer installations include Camp David,
Paul Newman, and Bill Murray.
Marketing – Michael Peterson.
Michael graduated from Southern Connecticut State
University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He has
since created advertisements and worked on website development for NETS and
Acoustipleat. He also acquires contracts for NETS and performs installations and
repairs.
Office Manager – Diana Peterson.
Diana is the previous owner/manager of four movie theatres
in New York and New Jersey. During her ownership, she played an integral part of every aspect
of running a theatre, from accounting to booking prints. Diana is currently
president of Acoustipleat and oversees accounting and contracts for both NETS
and Acoustipleat.
Technician/Sound Engineer – Matt Zeiner.
Matt is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of
projection and sound systems. He is also an accomplished musician, was part of
the Dickey Betts Band, played with the Allman Brothers, is co-owner of a
recording studio, is a producer and currently has his own band. NETS is very
proud and privileged to have him a part of our team.
